The Old American Can Factory is a new place in an old space, a place where things are still being made. Built as a canning factory in 1886 on the Gowanus Canal's Fifth Street Basin, it was redeveloped in 2003-2008 as an industrial haven to a curated community of more than 200 people working in the creative industries. They conceive, manufacture and distribute a myriad of ideas, experiences and products that aim to enhance the lives of others.
